Soroptimist International of the American River, chartered October 27, 2010, is one of two active Soroptimist clubs in the greater Auburn, California area.

We are a local service club comprised of a dedicated group of women who believe in the power of empowering and enriching the lives of women and girls, both locally and globally. We offer programs & awards, put on events and fundraisers, attend fun & meaningful events locally and abroad, and even travel together to work on service projects (like our recent trip to Kenya where we helped build a house and trained with women at Women's Economic Empowerment Programme [WEEP] centers). Above all, we are fostering community with the goal of improving the lives of women and girls.
