Soroptimist International is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.
Our years of experience working with women and girls has taught us that education is the key to unlocking economic empowerment of the world’s women and girls. When women and girls are educated, they have opportunity, choice and power to make healthy decisions for themselves and their families.

Soroptimist International of the American River (SOAR) is a local service club comprised of a dedicated group of women who believe in the power of empowering and enriching the lives of women and girls, both locally and globally. Soroptimists are working and retired professional women who are committed to improving the lives of women and girls locally and around the world.
We encourage women interested in the mission of Soroptimist to join us as our guest at one of our meetings held the second and fourth Wednesday at El Agave restaurant on Hwy 49 in Auburn, beginning at 5:30.
